Force India team principal Vijay Mallya says that the team can approach the final two races of 2017 differently after the Silverstone-based squad wrapped up fourth place in the constructor’s standings. Last time out in Mexico, Esteban Ocon’s and Sergio Perez’s fifth and seventh place was enough to consolidate fourth in the standings.

It is the second consecutive year that Force India have ended the season in fourth place. In 2016, the team finished with 173 points – a tally they surpassed in Mexico, as they now rest with 175 points.

“To have confirmed fourth place in the constructors’ championship for the second consecutive year is a wonderful achievement,” Mallya said.
