The FIA has announced that there will be a change is the number of corners around the Red Bull Ring for 2017. F1 viewers have known the track that returned in 2014 to possess nine corners, while MotoGP fans associated it with 10.

This season, Formula 1’s governing body has declared that the small bend between Turns 1 and 2 will be classified as a corner, meaning Turn 3 now becomes the corner where Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton clashed in 2016.

The small bend will be called Turn 2, but will, of course, be taken flat out as it has been done up to now.
