The 2017 Monaco Grand Prix saw a major hiccup in the Mercedes garage. After the cars looked on top form in the first practice session, they struggled to get the cars up to pace in the second session after tweaking the setups on the cars of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas.
This problem continued for the rest of the weekend and the team struggled to come up with an answer to Ferrari’s pace. The Maranello based team claimed a one-two finish as Sebastian Vettel won, followed by Kimi Raikkonen. Mercedes were adamant not to let something like that happen again.
