13:20 – Robert Kubica says his “nice story” will ultimately have no influence on whether Williams opts to recruit him full-time to a race seat in 2018.

Kubica competed in Formula 1 from 2006 and 2010 but a serious rally crash in early 2011 left him unable to continue in the sport, having sustained severe injuries to his right arm.

Kubica rebuilt his career on the rallying stage, taking the 2013 WRC2 title, and operated his own team from 2014 through to early 2016, competing in WRC.

The Pole turned his focus to circuit competition, participating in the Mugello 12 Hours, a round of the Renault Sport Trophy, and intended to race in the WEC with ByKolles, before withdrawing.
