10:10 – Daniil Kvyat’s NASCAR Euro Series test was arranged “for fun”, rather than it marking the start of a new career path, according to the championship’s boss.
Kvyat, having recently lost his Formula 1 seat, was named on the entry list for a recruitment test at the Autodromo Di Franciacort in Italy on Monday and Tuesday.
NASCAR WES is a European-based stock car championship, which visits venues such as Valencia (Circuit Ricardo Tormo) Brands Hatch and Hockenheim.
Inspired by the American series, cars use a four-speed manual gearbox and are fitted with a V8 Chevrolet engine creating 450hp, with an overall weight of 1150 kg.
