7:59 – Felipe Massa has brushed off reports that Robert Kubica and Paul di Resta will be involved in a ‘shootout’ for a 2018 seat, stating that “it doesn’t change anything for me”.

As reported by GPUpdate.net last week, Kubica, on the Formula 1 comeback trail, is one of several drivers that Williams is evaluating to partner teenager Lance Stroll next season.

Kubica had tested with Renault, but the manufacturer did not get all the answers it wanted from the runs, and opted to sign Red Bull-backed Carlos Sainz Jr. on loan.

According to Motor Sport Magazine, Williams is planning to test both Kubica and reserve driver di Resta in its 2014 car at Silverstone and the Hungaroring later this month.
