17:03 – Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has completed its planned pre-2017 test programme after Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull conducted running at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
Pirelli has been carrying out private test sessions, with Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull taking it in turns to sample the 2017 tyres, which will be 25 per cent wider front and rear than the current specification.
Pirelli’s extensive programme concluded with all three teams in action at the home of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with 331 laps, equivalent to six race distances, completed by five drivers.
