Yas Marina, located on the man-made Yas Island, was opened in 2009, just two years after construction of the landscape first began, and set new standards in Formula 1.
The event, which takes place at twilight, has been Formula 1’s season finale for the majority of its races, and played host to title showdowns in 2010, 2014 and 2016.
