17:19 – Toro Rosso has confirmed that Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley will race for the team at this weekend’s Mexican Grand Prix, leaving Daniil Kvyat on the sidelines, amid questions over his future in Formula 1.
Kvyat returned to STR at the Circuit of the Americas, after being dropped for Malaysia and Japan, with Carlos Sainz Jr. making an early move to Renault and Gasly entering the Super Formula finale.
After sitting out the first practice session, to give test driver Sean Gelael another run, he registered a points finish, his first since the Spanish Grand Prix back in May.
