Force India could be racing under a different name in the future with co-owner Vijay Mallya saying it may be time to adopt a “more international flavour.”

When Mallya took control of the team in 2008, with Force India having started life as Jordan back in the 1990s, he brought in several Indian sponsors.

However, in recent time the team has signed more international sponsors including Johnnie Walker.

“There is a growing feeling that maybe since we are a much-improved team in terms of performance and attracting more international sponsors, and sadly less Indian sponsors, there is a debate as to why the name should not be changed to give it a more international flavour,” Mallya told motorsport.com.
