With uncertainty surrounding his future at Toro Rosso, Daniil Kvyat says he is keen to have a “friendly talk” with Helmut Marko in Austin this weekend.

The Russian racer was dropped from Toro Rosso’s line-up for Malaysia and Japan as the team opted instead to evaluate Pierre Gasly.

Kvyat returned to the STR12 for this weekend’s United States GP after Carlo Sainz left the team, however, there are some suggestions that this could be his last race with the team.

Kvyat is keen to get some clarity on his future.

“I think everything is possible to fix,” he said.

“If there is a clear direction, a clear goal to fight for something big in the future, then I am more than happy to be part of this.
