Daniel Ricciardo expressed his frustration with fifth place in Monaco qualifying after his Red Bull team for made a “stupid error” that cost him a shot at pole flying lap.

Red Bull failing to evaluate the traffic situation when they sent Australian for his final flying lap. Last year Ricciardo’s top podium lost by Red Bull’s pit-stop mishandle.

“It seemed like I had such a clear track behind, I don’t know why we didn’t wait to put me out in clear air,’ he told reporters.
