Robert Kubica has tested Renault’s simulator, driving the RS17. The Pole is attempting a comeback to Formula 1 after pulling from the sport due to an injury in 2011. Kubica tested in Valencia last month, completing 115 laps in the Lotus E20.

Since the test, Renault has confirmed that they will be handing the 32-year-old another private session, this time to test his capabilities of a full-time return. He has been linked with a full-time drive with Renault for the 2018 season, replacing Jolyon Palmer.

“I was able to try the car in its configuration for this year,” Kubica told Sky Italia.
