Daniel Ricciardo believes that fighting Ferrari in the Bahrain Grand Prix is not impossible. The Australian will line-up in fourth place for the start of the race, alongside Valtteri Bottas and behind the Ferrari duo of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen.

Following Australia, Red Bull admitted that its qualifying pace was behind Ferrari and Mercedes, but was confident that it could challenge them in the race. With the start always being crucial, Red Bull’s team principal Christian Horner said that Ricciardo will be ready to pounce into the first couple of corners.

“This track – forget Melbourne, you couldn’t overtake there – but this track you can and it is one of the easiest venues that you can make a pass on,” Horner said.
