Sergio Sette Camara will join DAMS for the 2019 Formula 2 season, partnering Canadian Nicholas Latifi. Sette Camara is readying up for his third season in the F2 championship, having competed with MP Motorsport and Carlin in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
Sette Camara picked up eight podiums throughout the 2018 campaign but failed to seal a victory. The 20-year-old did his part to ensure Carlin won the teams’ championship last year, with teammate Lando Norris coming home in second place in the drivers’ title battle.
“I’m really glad to join DAMS for 2019,” Sette Camara said. “The team is extremely well prepared, which I’ve seen first-hand when I went to the workshop and during the Abu Dhabi test.
