SportPesa has been confirmed as Racing Point’s title sponsor for the 2019 season. The company is a prominent sports betting platform that operates in Africa, the Isle of Man and the UK.
SportPesa originally launched in Kenya and takes its name the Kiswahili word for ‘Money’, which is ‘Pesa’. The company will reportedly offer Racing Point $8 million for its first year followed by $10m in 2020. An option is also in the pipeline for a 2021 deal, which could see SportPesa pay a further $12m.
