Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel has set the fastest time so far on the first day of the second week of winter testing in Barcelona. The fourtime world champion needed 1:20.396 for a lap of Circuit de Catalunya – on the medium compound – and is two tenths clear of Valtteri Bottas.

Stoffel Vandoorne was responsible for the only real red flag of the day so far. It was not his fault though, his McLaren suffered electrical problems. The team managed to bring him back out just before the lunch break, but the Belgian has only done seven laps so far.
