13:31 – McLaren Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso racked up 113 laps during the World Endurance Championship’s rookie test in Bahrain on Sunday, as he got up to speed with Toyota’s LMP1 machinery.

Following an initial shakedown by Sébastien Buemi, Alonso climbed into the #8 TS050 HYBRID and amassed 37 laps during the morning session, his best time a 1:43.709.

Alonso completed several runs during the afternoon session at Sakhir, regularly completing eight- or nine-laps stints, and improved on his quickest time, logging a 1:43.013.

That lap came on his first timed effort out of the pits on his seventh of nine runs during the afternoon session, winding up with 76 laps, bringing his overall total to 113 laps.
