11:32 – Robert Kubica has landed a role as Williams’ reserve and development driver for 2018, which will involve test and practice runs throughout the season.

Kubica competed in Formula 1 between 2006 and 2010, but a serious rally crash in early 2011 left him unable to continue in the sport, having sustained severe injuries to his right arm.

He rebuilt his career on the rallying stage, taking the 2013 WRC2 title, and operated his own team from 2014 through to early 2016, competing in WRC.

Kubica turned his focus to circuit competition, participating in the Mugello 12 Hours, a round of the Renault Sport Trophy, and intended to race in the WEC with ByKolles, before withdrawing.
