16:38 – Robert Kubica will make his first Goodwood Festival of Speed appearance next weekend, festival founder Lord March has confirmed.

Kubica competed in Formula 1 between 2006 and 2010 but his career was halted when he sustained serious injuries in a rally crash in February 2011, limiting the mobility of his right arm.

Kubica returned to competitive action in rallying before dabbling in circuit racing once more last year.

Kubica sampled Formula 1 machinery for the first time in six years when he carried out 115 laps in Renault’s 2012-spec E20 at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia earlier this month.
