15:58 – Runaway F2 championship leader Charles Leclerc will carry out a day’s worth of running for Ferrari during the in-season test in Hungary.

Ferrari-backed Leclerc has emerged as the dominant performer in F2 this year, taking six straight pole positions and five victories to open a 67-point title lead in the standings.

Leclerc, who joined Ferrari’s young driver scheme in 2016, tested for the team last year, and also carried out a handful of Friday practice runs at Grands Prix with Haas, alongside his title-winning GP3 campaign.

The Monegasque racer will pilot the SF70-H on one day of the post-Hungarian Grand Prix test, which takes place on August 1/2.
