Marcus Ericsson has thanked Daniel Ricciardo for including him in his top five underrated drivers he has raced against in Formula 1.

An opening diary entry from the Aussie on social media has sparked plenty of talking points after he took a trip down memory lane to reflect on his Formula 1 career so far.

His first topic of discussion was a list of drivers he felt did not get the credit or just a lack of realisation of how good certain drivers are in general.

Ricciardo felt that Jenson Button was underrated, even as a World Champion, because his 2011 season where he beat Lewis Hamilton “fair and square” has gone under the radar, according to him.
