Extreme E founder Alejandro Agag says that the series would love to have Ferrari compete in it in the future.

The series already had a lot of connections to Formula 1 when it was formed, with Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg all entering teams.

That became the case even more so recently when it was announced that McLaren will be competing in the series from 2022 onwards.

With the British outfit on board, there is now room for just two more teams to join the grid, with 12 being the maximum number allowed.

While both independent ones and manufacturers are welcome, Agag admits that he’d love to welcome Ferrari, and with the Italian company building an electric supercar for the first time, thinks it’s possible.
