Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz say they are prepared to fight each other for the World Championship after their car impressed in the opening grand prix.

The duo secured Ferrari’s first one-two finish since Singapore 2019 and only the Red Bulls, until a late failure for both of their cars, seemed able to keep pace.

Leclerc won his third F1 race while Sainz ended up on the podium for the seventh time in his career, with many suspecting Ferrari will be back challenging for the World Championship this year.

During their post-race press conference, the two drivers were asked by Marca whether they are ready to fight each other for the World Championship should they prove a cut above the rest.
