Romain Grosjean is not currently viewing the prospective Andretti Global Formula 1 entry as a route back into the series.

Grosjean enjoyed an extensive career in F1, making 179 starts across stints with Renault, Lotus and Haas before departing the series at the end of 2020 in search of a new challenge, landing in IndyCar as he cited the possibility to win as a strong pull factor.

The 2022 campaign will mark his second season in IndyCar and first with the Andretti Autosport team, whose owner Michael Andretti is planning to enter a team called ‘Andretti Global‘ into Formula 1 as of the 2024 season.
