Haas team principal Guenther Steiner has said Renault only lodged a complaint to the FIA because they cannot beat them.

Romain Grosjean’s P6 finish in Monza has currently been scrubbed off by the FIA after finding that Haas had used an illegal floor at the Italian Grand Prix.

The investigation was launched after Renault, who are locked in a fierce battle with Haas for P4 in the Constructors’ Championship, lodged an official complaint with the FIA.

Haas were found to be in breach of the rules, but Steiner sees it as Renault just using another trick in the book to try and stay ahead of them.
