Monza, where the Italian Grand Prix takes place, is currently being used as a COVID-19 vaccination centre for people over 80.

Italy, like much of Europe, looks to be entering a third wave of the pandemic, with the country being put back into a notional lockdown due to a rising number of cases.

Given that, efforts to get the population vaccinated are being ramped up, and Monza is serving as a place where the jabs can be given.

“The Autodromo is still at the service of the citizens and responds, in conjunction with the municipal administration and the Mayor, to the request for co-operation to support the institutions and health authorities in the organisation of the important national vaccine campaign against Covid-19,” said the track’s General Manager Alessandra Zinno.
