Red Bull believe they now have the data they need to make an informed engine decision with an announcement coming around the Austrian GP.
Red Bull’s engine supplier Renault and that of their junior team, Honda, both introduced updates at last weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix.
While Helmut Marko reckons Honda’s was worth about three-tenths a lap, an exact figure has not be given to Renault’s although Horner says it did what was advertised.
Now it is up to Red Bull to make a decision.
“We got a lot of information to go away and analyse and it will probably take another weekend to view it over another couple of circuits and then I’m sure around the Austrian GP we will be coming to a conclusion,” Christian Horner said after the Canadian GP.
