Sauber team boss Frederic Vasseur has slammed Kevin Magnussen for his “f****** dangerous’ move on Charles Leclerc at the Japanese Grand Prix.

Arguably, nobody defends position harder than the Haas driver and, when trying to keep Sauber’s Leclerc at bay on the start/finish straight in Japan, his late move resulted in a race-ruining puncture before retiring from the action.

Haas team principal, Guenther Steiner, was once again forced to defend his driver, while Leclerc said Magnussen “is and always will be stupid”.

His boss echoed those sentiments.

“From my point of view it was quite obvious, but there was no further action,” Vasseur told Autosport.
