Lance Stroll says last year’s Williams F1 car was “badly born” and that the engineers “did not know” how to fix it.

Stroll bid farewell to Williams at the end of what was a disappointing 2018 campaign.

He managed just six points in 21 grands prix with a P8 in Azerbaijan, a race that he finished on the podium in 2017, his best result of the season.

His struggles last year added to his ‘pay driver’ tag with many wondering if Williams would have done better with two different drivers in the car.

Stroll says no because the blame belongs with Williams.
