Sebastian Vettel put his time between races in Austria to good use by helping to build a hotel for bees with local school children.

The four-time World Champion is a well-known advocate of environmental awareness, speaking in recent times about Formula 1’s need to stay relevant, while also inspiring a flypast in Bahrain powered by sustainable fuels after complaining about the trial runs during pre-season testing.

He also spent the first lockdown in 2020 completing an internship at an organic bio farm.

And Vettel’s latest project has been to help construct a hotel for bees close to the Red Bull Ring alongside local children, as part of his involvement in Frutura’s BioBienenApfel society project, which exists to create new habitats for bees.
