Attendances at F1 grands prix weekends are on the up again with an 8% rise on figures from the 2016 season.

F1’s original press release stated that “four million spectators attended the 20 races of the 2017 Formula 1 World Championship, an 8% increase on 2016.” In fact, based on the figures in the press release, the increase should have been 8.8% as almost all of the percentages which generated the total were inaccurate as can be easily seen below.

Thirteen races registered positive increments.
