Max Verstappen set the fastest time in the second and final free practice session for the British Grand Prix. The session was in preparation for the sprint race later on Saturday afternoon. The Dutchman, who did 23 laps on the Silverstone circuit, was with a time of 1:29.902 quicker than both Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, who finished in second and third position.

Ahead of the first sprint race in the history of Formula 1, the second free practice session on the 5.891 kilometre long Silverstone circuit is taking place. This practice session revolves entirely around preparing for the sprint race, which will be held later on Saturday afternoon, and the Grand Prix on Sunday.
